Sponsor Milly
Milly’s rescue was a moment of fate. In 2023, our head vet, Doc Roland, spotted her abandoned and vulnerable on a dangerously busy main road. When she arrived at the Centre, Milly was incredibly poorly; she was battling a severe case of mange, anaemia, and Ehrlichiosis (a serious tick-borne disease), alongside a painful wound on her head.
Age: 4 years old
Personality: Gentle, loyal, and a quiet observer.
A Quiet Transformation Milly’s physical recovery was a testament to the dedication of our veterinary team, but her emotional healing required a different kind of medicine: time and patience. Because she is a naturally gentle soul, she isn’t as boisterous as some of our other residents. She is often the dog who waits quietly in the background, watching the world go by.
However, for those who take the time to sit with her, the reward is boundless. Once you have earned Milly’s trust, you have a friend for life.
The Power of Friendship Much like her best friend, Divi, Milly’s confidence truly blossomed when the two dogs found each other. While she may not be the first dog visitors notice, Milly is a vital part of our Centre’s heart. She represents the “quiet” successes—the dogs who don’t demand attention but deserve the world. By sponsoring Milly, you are helping us provide the long-term, gentle care that allows her personality to shine.
Why sponsor Milly? Milly has overcome so much—from abandonment on a busy road to surviving multiple illnesses. By sponsoring her, you provide the vital veterinary care and peaceful sanctuary she needs to stay healthy and happy alongside her best friend, Divi. Your support ensures Milly never has to be alone or afraid again.
