Sponsor Sunshine
Sunshine was one of our early rescues since setting up the IWCT Treatment Centre, found living in a derelict building in a heartbreaking state, surviving on sraps. She was severely malnourished, riddled with mange, and suffered from both a broken tail and a limp—the likely result of being hit by a vehicle. Despite her history of hardship, Sunshine has never lost her faith in people; she brought so much light to the Centre during her recovery that we simply had to name Sunshine.
Age: 8 years old
Personality: Intelligent, eager to please, and a true “social butterfly” once she’s found her feet.
Our Resident Greeter Once her physical wounds healed, Sunshine’s true personality blossomed. She is a deeply affectionate dog who thrives on human connection. While she gets along famously with all our resident dogs, her real passion is people. She is always the first to the gate to greet visitors, leaning in for a cuddle and making it very clear that she expects a tummy rub!
The team at IWCT became so attached to her resilient and loving spirit that we made it official: the Centre is Sunshine’s permanent home.
