Rescue, Rehabilitate, Rehome

While IWCT is not an animal shelter, rescue work is a fundamental part of our mission in the Philippines. We focus our rescue resources on the most vulnerable: neglected, abandoned or abused stray dogs, very often suffering from life-threatening conditions such as severe malnutrition, advanced mange, and Transmissible Venereal Tumours (TVTs). Without our intervention, these dogs would have little hope of survival.

We believe in working alongside the local community. When a member of the public alerts us to a dog in distress, we encourage a collaborative approach. Where possible, we ask the person reporting the dog to help us secure a promise of a home—either with themselves or a known contact—once the dog has been successfully treated and rehabilitated.
